Twence has a unifying and active role in the development of a circular economy in the (eu) region and, together with its shareholders and partners, is investing in the transition to a sustainable society. This stable anchoring with 15 public shareholders is unique and makes it possible to combine social returns and impact on the regional economy with sustainable investments that are geared towards renewable energy and a circular economy. Our shareholders comprise 14 municipalities in Twente as well as the municipality of Berkelland in the Achterhoek region. The municipality of Münster (Germany) is intending to become a shareholder of Twence. Since 2019, Twence has had a communal partnership with the municipality of Münster.
